Watching Swifts at Chapman School
One of Portland's unique attractions! It was awesome! About 1,500 people and 10,000 swifts showed up. More info: Swift Watch
Each night in August and September these birds roost in the chimney at Chapman School in NW Portland. It's quite a sight to see them all swirl around and fly into the chimney like water going down a drain!
