‪Paprika - A Drop Filled With Memories‬‏ - YouTube

For those who don't know, this is a fan made arrangement from the anime called Paprika by Satoshi Kon. A beautiful song in memory of a kind and talented man. Satoshi Kon passed away shortly after completing Paprika. Fortunately, he lived long enough to see it presented at many film festivals and win several awards from around the globe. Paprika is, without a doubt, my favorite anime of all time.

Mr. Kon kept his illness a secret until shortly before he died since he was currently working on a new anime called The Dream Machine, and he didn't want to risk vested interests from pulling out. He managed to get the storyboard completed and then died. Fans were stunned, including this one. Work is continuing in his stead, but it may not be a true Satoshi Kon piece without his knowledge of how the storyboard should be interpreted. Maybe he left some notes?

His anime works are unique and visually stunning. I get lost in his creative world. It's difficult to describe the effect Mr. Kon's work can have on many who see it.

After I watched this movie, I somehow felt more complete. ~RVonDoom on YouTube

Enjoy.

‪Guitar Oscillations Captured with iPhone 4‬‏

This is really cool!

What we're seeing is not actually how the strings look, obviously. It's caused by the rolling shutter effect, which is when a digital camera scans across the frame either horizontally or vertically rather than capturing the entire frame at once. So parts of the frame have to play catch up, and we're left with guitar strings making crazy waves and shapes. Awesome!
