Intel Introduces New Core i7, i5 Processors

I really like the way Intel is going with this new platform. Instead of three chips (northbridge, southbridge, and CPU), they've now integrated the northbridge into the CPU!

I would think motherboard manufacturers will be able to make good use of the extra room on motherboards now that they don't need the northbridge processor.

The Core i7 processor is a quad-core processor with hyperthreading so it acts like eight cores! I can't wait to try it out!

With Core i7 and the P55 express chipset, we're going to see some awesome computers at prices very similar to Core2! Hopefully Dell will give us these new options soon.
