Free calling within the US and Canada through 2012 | Google Voice Blog
I'm glad to see Google will be extending their free Google Voice service through 2012!

Completely hands free text messaging! Cool! Is it really much safer though? I find even attempting to communicate with technology and voice prompts makes me lose concentration on the road.
Of course, this type of hands free technology won't be so necessary when cars drive themselves! haha.
I really like Weibo. I've been using it for just over a month and it's been a lot of fun. I've been making friends and learning Chinese at the same time. ^_^
There are so many people on Weibo, I feel like things are happening faster than Facebook or Twitter. Almost every day I get a comment or new follow...something to keep me engaged.
As far as features go, it's kind of a blend of Facebook and Twitter. I really like how status updates are short, though twice as long as Twitter when typing in English, and I can post photos, videos, audio, and a few other types as well.
I have an Android phone and found a good Weibo app with English menus that will also autopost to Twitter at the same time! It's called YiBo.
For anyone interested in making friends in China and learning Chinese, Weibo is a good start. Click the via link for a good article about Weibo.
So cool! Say goodbye to telemarketers calling at dinner time.
Thanks to the help of the thousands of Google Voice users who mark calls as spam everyday—and our own spam identification tools—it is now possible to automatically redirect calls, texts, and voicemails from any of the numbers in our database directly into your spam folder.
If you have a need for speed, this is the phone for you!
Now the OBi100 is finally in stock at Amazon.com! There's a promo code to save $16:
HELLOOBI
The difference between the OBi100 and OBi110 is the OBi100 doesn't have the FXO port for a land line, but most people don't need that if it's going to be used with Google Voice.
This is going to have so many uses! It would be cool to be able to find out all kinds of info about products in stores before making a purchase decision, or walking through a grocery store and NFC some items to add them to my grocery list.
This is awesome! Now I can really save on those cell phone minutes and avoid poor cell phone call quality!!
