Family Reunion in Port Townsend, WA

It was a good trip. Had fun meeting family members I'd never met before and seeing old faces I hadn't seen in a long time. The weather in Port Townsend was the best I've ever seen it! Actually, it was a bit too good because I got a sunburn.

Enjoy the pics and videos.

Waiting for parents to arrive at Old Fort Townsend campground with tents. It was dark before they made it. Of course, it is tradition to put up tents in the dark. It's too easy in the daylight.

Most have already arrived. The official reunion is Day3. Cousins caught some crab which the kids just loved to see.

My sister and niece stayed in a really nice cabin by the water called Chevy Chase Resort. Got some nice pictures of their cute little cabins. Apparently the main house was built in the 1880s, and the original house which is smaller in the 1850s. It is one of the oldest in the Port Townsend area.

We couldn't have asked for a better day. The sun was out and the temperature was warm. Typically this is not the case at the Norby Cabin. Glad to see all the distant family members and hear interesting stories from past times.

The four Mullaney siblings spread Grandmother's ashes into the sea after my dad's prayer.

This night, the forest at the campsite was very calm and quiet. It was also a new moon so very dark too. Keegoid sat and listened to music on his studio quality headphones in the dark until midnight peering into the eerie woods. Ooooh. :)

In the morning we got family portraits with remaining family at the cabin. Then we headed to Port Angeles to take the ferry to Victoria BC for the day! Dad couldn't go because his passport was expired. It was really a nice day in Victoria. Lots going on since it was a holiday weekend.

Last day in Port Townsend! Walked along the beach at Old Fort Townsend and it was clear enought to see Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier in the distance! Lucy turned out to be a circus dog or mountain goat on the rocks. Then we went into town for some vegan ice cream before leaving to drive home.
